What is there to say? The Spurs couldn't rebound, so they allow 20 second chance points and put themselves in a hole. They were lucky to be within one shot at the end of the game. It could have been called a foul, but it wasn't. No biggie. The Spurs could have been up 2 at that point if they had played better earlier. It is what it is. There is still one more game to play with more to come if they are successful. They can't dwell on the loss, but they need to learn from it if they want to win.
Ginobili was non-existent. It could have been like he said: the Lakers were taking him away, so he deferred to Tim and Tony. To win Game 5, he needs to play alot better. He doesn't need to score necessarily, but he can handle the ball better and/or be a distributor.
LA is guarding Tony pretty well. They put long guys on him and limit his driving to the hoop. The Spurs aren't adjusting well however, and stand around waiting for him to take it to the hoop. More decisive moves by everyone especially Timmy would do wonders to improve their offense though. Tim catches and waits when he needs to catch and attack. When he did that, he got easy buckets. Too often he was catching, turning and throwing up a weak Gasol-like touch shot. Even though he scored 29 points and hit his freebies, he had lots of room for improvement. When he is attacking, he gets guys in foul trouble and opens up shots for other guys. It is easier to double a guy when he waits for you to come. The know he is going to pass out of the double team and so their rotations are fast. You put pressure on them when you change up and speed up your moves.
I definitely think the Spurs can win G5. I don't know if that is likely though. They do look old and slow, like everyone says.
It sucks that even though they are doing an excellent job on Kobe, making him a jump shooter and letting him get his points without getting others involved, they are letting LA off the hook by allowing second chance points and sucking on offense.
We will see if the Old Slow Spurs come out for the next one, or the Experienced Clutch Spurs do.
