New Projects for the Summer

There are few things that I will be doing this summer. One is working. Another is doing that Denton: Rated blog with my buddies (and whoever else might tag along).

That second thing is the one I am looking forward to the most. Why? Well, because it gives me an excuse to go out and do stuff. I am blogging about this! That is why I am out every night! 



Unfortunately I won't be going out every night. The biggest roadblock we've encountered so far is the pressure. It is weird. We always criticize and talk about the places we've been. Now that we plan to put it up on the internet, though it seems that we all have stage fright. Okay. Maybe that isn't the best word. It is more like we want it to be perfect. Rudy, the woman, and I had a lot of fun at Rooster's , etc a week ago (more like a week and a half). I think we are thinking that every review has to be up to that level. Which I know isn't true. That is the only thing that I see that is blocking us. It is fucking pressure.

Which reminds me of the pressure I feel about writing this damn thing. Sometimes I wait and wait until I think of something that is worthy of being on the blog. It is stupid, I know. It isn't like this is a respected publication or anything, so what the hell, right?

I know that though. In fact, that is the advice I would give myself if I weren't myself. That is partly why I have been an infrequent poster. That and I am a lazy ass. You already knew that last one though.

I know one of my friends has a nice little adventure story about his trip back home and the craziness that ensued therein. He is still busy making up names to protect the not-so-innocent. That is upcoming soon. It'll be either here or on his own blog.

I also plan to do some more with NCAA 11 and UNT, mostly because that is our only chance of winning the NCAA title. I might even try to do the MGN takes on the Competition thing again.

Risks:

Like any good plan of action, I must let you know pitfalls awaiting you. The first is historical record versus summer. So far I am 0-13. What does that mean? Well, every year that I have been ambitious enough to set out some "Gotta do this" goals for myself during the summer, I have lost to, well, the summer. Something about the sun and no school really makes me want to not be 'productive'. I put that in quotes because I am not really producing anything. Nothing awesome anyway.

The second thing is the combined inertia of my friends. They don't have as much enthusiasm about internet-y things as I do.  (You may have noticed this).

So sit back by the pool or whatever, and enjoy the NTMescan family of sites.
