Texas-Oklahoma

First drive of the game Oklahoma looked like the beasts they are. Just ran down the field with ease. They did a nice fake reverse and throw back to the murray. Got them big yards. They are playing off of the UT aggressive style.

 The second drive, Texas was more ready for that stuff and didn’t go for the roll out. Nice three and out.

 On Texas’ first drive, they did just as good as OU except they settle for a field goal from the ten or so. Solid, especially for a team without a running game, they ran welll. Ogbananaya did good.

 Second drive for texas was better. They did good. No three and out, but still stopped.

 Ou another nondescript drive. They are pressureing Bradford.

 Texas thinks it can go deep on the sooners. ½ already on that. Big intentional grounding call. Not good. Tried a shovel pass to get out of it. Nothing doing. Punt

 Sooners again with that pa roll out. Again coverage is too good. Nice, because the secondary for texas was catching a lot of heat for that.

 Nice play by ou. Broyles with three straight catches. Nice play to murray. They are doing good with that hurry up. I like how Herbstreit is saying basketball on grass like purdue never called it that. OU gets a luck play, but they were moving the ball so well, they were bound to score anyway. Texas’s D, for all its good play on the previous two drives, is still down two scores early just like all of Oklahoma’s previous games. Not good.

 Ou tryin the same play. Not as much success with that fake reverse. Aw. Busted coverage allows OU a 52 yard td. Freshman safeties… eh.

 Texas with a big drive to answer that score. They got lucky a couple of times where Colt had to squeeze in a pass or two, but they weren’t desperation heaves or anything. Maybe dude is that good and he can squeeze em in there everytime? Also, there was some quality RAC yards there. Guys weren’t doing too much dancing and more often than not, fell forward for the first down. The running game isn’t dominant but is keeping Oklahoma honest and putting the horns in second-and-manageable. That’s all you can ask of it.

 The pressure gets to Bradford, making him overthrow broyles and throws a pick!

 After a turnover, you go deep. Texas knows this apparently, and does just that. They throw it deep to cosby, and completes it. 2/3 on those things. Texas loses a yard or so. Next play mccoy throws it away but gets a break on a roughin call. Luck.

 Lucky. Almost an overthrow for a pick. Settled for a field goal. Nice. Its virtually tied at the half 21-20 oklahoma.

 UT forced to punt. They tried to go deep again on the sideline not to cosby but to kirkendall? So that makes them 2/4. still not bad. That last one didn’t have a chance though. Pressure got to colt on first down though.

 Sooners trying to counter that pressure by throwing jailbreak screens. Hit a big one to manuel Johnson. Ut tried for the strip. Two plays later, there is another screen for a td. Ut big blitzed and they hit it perfect.

 After two runs to nowhere, texas gets the first on a hot route during a blitz. The run isn’t doing anything for them. They move the ball better with quick passing and they did that the last two plays. A short pass to a wideout and then another to the rb. Colt gets 9 on a scramble and then a zone read gets 30 yards to ogbannaya! Snuck it in there! They go  right back to the quick pass in the seams 5 to ten yards out. Colt using his speed to get outside.  Colt dropping a jailbreak screen just like the sooners. They get a nice little gain. QB draw gets them down to the 2. Third and goal. The lack of running game is no problem apparently. PA td pass. Colt was patient and waited for Shipley to come open. 27-28 oklahoma.

 Pressure again on Bradford. He throws it away. But there is a penalty. Hit Bradford, and made that fool fumble. The tackle picked it up, and OU still has it. Swing pass goes nowhere. Oh man! Fake punt! Oh! So close! Just came up short, they are reviewing the spot though.

 Oh, scramble nets 18 yards plus the roughing penalty for another 15! Haha looks like OU got shafted again. Quick run for 3 yards by Ogbannaya. Still keeping them honest. Six yard scramble by Mccoy on second and seven. Big yards there. Ohman. PA scramble and Mccoy throws a pick. But wait! No pick! They didn’t give him the pick. No one knew except Texas. They kick a field goal. 30 28 Texas.

 Oklahoma is trying to re-establish momentum Nothing doing on the first run up the middle, stuffed for no gain. Quick pass gets them the first. No really in the hurry up this drive. 3 and 7 to go. Tried a rb screen. Nothing doing. Dude shed a few tackles but no dice. Horrible. Man. Running into the kicker gets Oklahoma a first. Big run on first down. There is some bad tackling goin on. UT is grabbing and trying to arm tackle big dudes. That aint gonna work. Holding on SOnners. 3^rd and long. Deep throw, a first down. Dude was single covered and beat his man. TD OU, there is a penalty though. 34-30 oklahoma and they are going for two. I don’t know if that is a good decision. Just kick it says me. That running into the kicker call was huge.

 First and ten 11 min to go down by five. Incomplete. Should have been interference. It is.  Colt on a scramble. Obannaya on a nice run. A quick pass to Shipley. They are good man . TD TEXAS .  A play or two later. Actually its down on the one. Replay confirms. TD texas a play later. 

 That was a huge drive. HUGE. MY buddy called it man, he said it was going to be a shootout and damn he was right. Crazy. Just like last year only better. Both offenses are humming. The only thing though, is that Texas shows that it can stop Oklahoma but Oklahoma hasn’t really been able to slow Texas, at least not the last few drives.

 Nice pass to open for Oklahoma. Bradford has 331yds and 5 tds. Run goes nowhere. 3^rd down. Knocked the pass down! Fourth down! Will they go for it? Punt time. Fair catch.

 Three yard run. Quick pass to cosby. Third and three. Big situation now. Broken play, dump off to obannaya in traffic. Gets the first. Big play. MCCoy is amazing. BIG RUN BY OBANNAYA! The pulling lineman crushed the blocks and sprang that fool for a big one! WOW. So much for no runnig game huh? AWWWW! Dropped it! Dude was wide open! Sick! TD on the Johnson 1 yd run.

 Wow. This is a great game. Texas is pulling away but there is no way I am counting out the sooners. They have showed in this game that they can score quickly. Four minutes and down two scores isn’t that huge of a deficit. Stranger things have happened.

 OU not giving up. Big play to broyles. Kimble with a clutch sack. Bradford has to throw and texas knows it. They are coming after him and kimble the former safety! Gets the sack. Third and fifteen and Bradford scrambles. Gets knocked down short of the first. Incomplete! Just out of the reach of iglesias. Obviously theyare trying to run it out here.

 Its over. Punt. But Oklahoma doesn’t have a lot of time left. 20 seconds. Its over.
