Kick Ass 1 and 2

Awesome. It has some adult language, and gratuitous violence, but it is funny, and cool. Read it. It is the story of a kid who wants to be a superhero-but doesn't have any powers. He is Batman without the cool gadgets or the years of martial arts training. He is Spider Man without the powers. He gets his ass kicked. It really is what would happen if you donned a costume and fought crime. Number 3 comes out the 7th of May so you have plenty of time to get out there and get caught up.




FX 1 and 2

Not cool. Very kid-like. The art is old school in a Archie kind of way. The main dude is almost unstoppable. The story has been done before (fighting a large gorilla? Hero By Night anyone?) The jock character is a re-hash: his girlfriend is the obligatory love interest for the main character, and jock-o is an a-hole, but she stays with him. I only got it because the chick at the comic store recommended it. Bonus points have been lost for her.
