Repo Men: Review
I went in thinking this was going to be a run-of-the-mill type action movie a la Daybreakers. It's not. In fact, it was pretty better than expected.
Good: The movie seems relatively realistic. Given the fact that it is supposed to be in a time when we can replace organs with artificial ones that work almost seemlessly with the body and can be tracked with scanners by Repo Men from about 150 yards out, it is realistic.
Really though, by realistic I mean you can suspend your disbelief without straining your brain. After the credits roll, you may be wondering why Fruit Loops is still using the same box styling so many years in the future and maybe why in the future we build super-tall skyscrapers. But hey, unless you are super cynical movie watcher guy you'll be alright.
Bad: ********Maybe kind of spoiler alert*************
After seeing the trailer I figured the movie was just like Daybreakers. It had corporate dude having a change of heart and fighting the system. I wasn't wrong. Still, it isn't so formulaic that it is bad.
Verdict: Recommend.
Why? If you like your action movies with some stabberation you won't be disappointed.
