Some Spurs Notes 3.23.10

Some quality stuff on the Spurs win last night versus Oklahoma City.

Project Spurs on George Hill:

It gets better. In 34 starts this season, his production went up to 15.6 points, 3.5 assist and 3.1 rebounds per game and is also versatile enough to switch between point guard and shooting guard spots when he had to play alongside Tony Parker.
Some of the quotes by Pop about making Hill more of a leader like Avery Johnson, remind me of Tony P's first couple of years, but mostly of Larry Brown. Dude is a point guard's coach.

Slam Online on Spurs' Last Rodeo and on what the Spurs' Expectation:

While the Spurs struggle to reach the high bar they’ve set for themselves, the team doesn’t realize the impact of its history and success. Hawks guard Joe Johnson calls the Spurs “one of the elites.” Just on reputation? “Oh yeah definitely,” he says, “don’t nobody want to see the Spurs, man they’re a tough team.”
