The Bowl Games. Due to some unfortunate circumstances (work) I couldn't watch the bowl games that I previewed. So, I cannot go into any detailed analysis, but I can see if my predicitons were on the button.
EagleBank Bowl
I said Navy 31 Wake 24
Really it was Wake 29 Navy 19. Eh.
New Mexico Bowl
I said Fresno St. 27 Colorado State 21
Really it was Colorado ST 40 Fresno State 35. I caught a glimpse of the game and it was also a lot more exciting than I thought it would be. My reputation as a prognoscticator is looking more sullied.
St. Petersburg Bowl
I said USF 41 Memphis 13
Really it was USF 41 Memphis 14. SO I AM AWESOME!
Las Vegas Bowl
I said BYU 45 Arizona 20
Really it was Arizona 31 BYU 21. SO I AM NOT THAT AWESOME!
Okay. So we have one more on tap today.
New Orleans Bowl Troy (8-4) Southern Mississippi (6-6)
Breakdown: The New Orleans Bowl is in New Orleans. The only reason the fan bases are happy about this is that they get to party there. I know, because we were hoping that UNT made it so we could make the trip. Troy is better than Mississippi State, not just because their record says so, but because they have proven it. They have played some good teams on the road (OSU, LSU) and played well before succumbing to talent.
Should You Care? If you are a fan of Troy or So Miss, then yes.
Prediction: Troy 35 So Miss 31.
