Colt and co. pulled it out at the end. I think they should have smoked Ohio St. long before that. Did you notice how easily they went up and down the field on their scoring drives?
Yes, I know that the Buckeyes D was knocking balls loose and making the receivers drop a lot of passes early on. I chalk all that up to a little rustiness, though. Texas has had a loong layoff. I think some rust was evident. This was probably the most enjoyable UT season (besides the 05-06 year) that I can remember in a very long time. They had quality games, and didn't choke against anyone. Yes, not even against the Red Raiders. In that game they just played a horrible first half. They came out in the second and just came up one play short. One dropped interception short. When you think about it more, you realize that Texas Tech always gives UT problems. Even when they stomp them like last year, they still put up points.
So overall, I am very satisfied with this year. I didn't have national title hopes for these guys. I just hoped that we would be competitive and Colt would't make so many mistakes. I didn't think our recievers were much of a threat and wouldn't be big factors in big games. I was really wrong. Quan Cosby and Jordan Shipley are like Kwame Cavil and Ryan Nunez from back when Major was QB-sneaky good.
